Going to the mailbox usually means just picking up flyers and bills, so finding a beautiful card inside your letter drop is always the most wonderful surprise. Sending a card is such a simple gesture but there is truly nothing like unexpectedly receiving a beautiful card with a handwritten note inside. I think we can all agree that we ought to send more snail mail but sometimes the hardest part is finding the right card to send. Today I’m sharing a few of my favourite cards from Papyrus’ brand new collection, and these just might be some of the prettiest cards you have ever seen!
I’ve always loved Papyrus’ greeting cards and have reached for them many times when I needed a special card for a friend’s wedding or simply wanted to toss a sweet thank you note in the mail. When Papyrus contacted me about their new designer collaboration I instantly knew I wanted to share about it! In honour of NYFW they teamed up with fashion designer Lela Rose to create a beautiful collection of designer cards.
Lela Rose’s collections are always feminine and sophisticated and these cards perfectly translate her elegant aesthetic.
When I style outfits I always like to add multiple different textures. Whether its smooth leather, soft velvet, or glossy metal, differing textures add so much substance to a look! Likewise, these cards are layered with so many beautiful textures that makes them come to life. From embroidery and sequins to natural wood embellishments, the details are absolutely exquisite. You absolutely must check out the rest of the Lela Rose collection to see what I mean!
To make it easier to remember to send cards, I always keep a stack of notecards on my desk along with a few stamps. Not only are they super pretty to look at, but they are also easy to grab, write a sweet note inside and toss in the mail. Although, to be honest, there may be a few cards in this collection that might never make it to the mail. As soon as I find the right frame, that beautiful illustration with the purple dress is definitely getting hung in my office as art!
