Emerald Midi and Mixed Prints

How many different pattern can you wear in one outfit?  So far, I'm counting four in this jewel toned outfit I threw together last week!  Most people are hesitant to mix prints but when done right, it makes a look so much more dynamic!

Style Tip: Don't be afraid to mix multiple prints in a single outfit!  Stick with complimentary colours and you will do fine! --> Tweet this! <--

If you are new to mixing patterns, the best place to start is with a black & white striped item as a base.  Simple stripes are one of the easiest patterns to mix with other prints.  A simple stripe pairs well with floral patterns, plaids, ikats, as well as animal prints such as leopard or cheetah (just stay away from pairing it with a zebra motif)!

So, what do you think?  Is mixing patterns for you?  Let me know in the comments what your favourite patterns to play with are!
