I’ve lived in 16 different houses in my life but outside of my current office, none of those homes have had white walls. Now, it’s not because I don’t like white… I really do love its simplicity and the way it reflects light in a room! But I also love the look of crisp white furniture and I especially love the look of white curtains and the way soft light passes through them. Because of that, I’ve always been hesitant to paint my walls white, thinking that with all my white curtains and furniture it would just be too much!
But I think I am ready for a change, and after carefully examining hundreds of shades of white in my CIL paint deck I think I have picked the most perfect white for the main living space in my home! Are you ready for it? I’ve decided to paint with “Touch of Grey”- CIL 30BB 72/003. I love that this white colour has a subtle hint of grey and I think it will look fantastic when contrasted with bright white accents. I also plan on using “White Mountain”- CIL 50BB 83/020, the lighter tint of that same colour, on several accent walls.
Ps. If you don’t live in Winnipeg, there may be a chance you can still get a free paint consultation near you! A few other friendly bloggers and designers across Canada will continue to offer paint consults until October 16th so make sure you check out the full schedule on the CIL website!
